Mount Javorje ( highest peak Ober 1486 m ) is known for its picturesque hamlets and warmhearted hosts famous for their health food products – cheese and cream cheese, smoked ham made from sheep or cow meat, corn and rye breads.
The mountain abounds in old and thick forests of conifers, beech, birch, and the countless clearings are covered with green pastures or meadows with fragrant flowers.
